Silicon Valley Clean Water sent out notice to residents of increased truck traffic along Redwood Shores Parkway through September 20. The site improvements project at SVCW’s treatment plant site is going well although soil delivery has been slower than expected due to the challenges of finding acceptable (clean) soil.
The hauling has occurred sporadically past the September 20th date and we expect that there will continue to be truck traffic through October 20.
After that, the soil that has been imported will be compacted and graded. Depending on survey results that will measure the grade elevations, another one or two days of soil import may be required.
That should be the end of the heavy soils import activities. Concurrently, the installation of storm drains, utilities, trailer installations and other site civil improvements will occur over the next month or so.
