Progressive Design-Build – Status of Selection Process
On October 11, 2017 the SVCW Commission approved a Design-Build agreement with the Bernard- Bessac Joint Venture team that includes Arup as the design engineer.
The project started quickly with a Partnering Workshop on October 10th to bring the Barnard-Bessac and the Arup team together with SVCW executives, engineering, operations, maintenance and various consultants to facilitate all parties working together smoothly with common goals.
Next steps include reviewing work that has been done to date, planning specific tasks for the next couple of months, and starting the collaborative process of designing the Gravity Pipeline. All parties will be co-located in temporary offices to work closely and efficiently together.
